Blaze

 

 

Blaze is a 4 year old sweet girl who came to us from a regional shelter together with her companion Blair.  Blaze is current on her vaccinations.  She is heartworm positive and is scheduled to start heartworm treatment soon.  She will be spayed prior to adoption.

Foster Update 4/24/08:

Blaze is a very sweet, velcro Golden. Everyone who sees her comments on how beautiful she is, from the groomers, to my coworkers and neighbors. We walk every day and when she sees children of any age, she pulls to them and lies down on her back so they can pet her. She is sweet and gentle and loving.

I do crate Blaze while I am gone during the day, but she doesn't seem to mind. She gets along fine with my cat, although sometimes she wants to play a little, and Jazz hisses at her, but she doesn't get upset or growl, just quiets down and leaves her alone.

Blaze loves attention and wants to be close to us, but will eventually quiet down and sleep on the kitchen floor. She has done some counter surfing (bread seems to be most tempting). I try not to give her the opportunity. When she first came to us she didn't eat much, but has since regained a normal appetite. She will be spayed next Friday, then enter heartworm treatment as soon as the vet deems it advisable.

Blaze will make someone the most awesome companion, I hope a very special forever home is in her future.
