bella

Bella is a sweet little bundle of joy.  At 45 lbs, this petite blonde golden mix is full of life and fun.  Bella is crate trained, house trained and has very nice house manners.  She does think she should be a lap dog and because of her small size she can almost manage it!  Bella loves to run and play with other dogs and loves to swim.  She has had some obedience training and is very well mannered for the most part.  Sometimes in her joy and boundless enthusiasm she does forget she is not supposed to jump up on you, but she is very easily corrected by voice.  Bella can sometimes be a bit timid around new people or new situations but adapts quickly.  She is a very affectionate and loving girl who will make a fine companion for an active person or family.

Bella is approximately 3 years old, current on vaccinations, heartworm negative and spayed.

Foster Update 6/3/08:

Bella is 45 pounds of happiness and sunshine. Her cute little curly tail never stops wagging! She loves to wrestle and play chase with our other dogs, enjoys her daily swim, and is absolutely adorable when she tosses her ball then nudges it with her nose to keep it in the air. (She does like to chase squirrels -- so being allowed off leash in an unfenced area may not be a good idea.)

Ever the Southern lady, Bella is well-mannered, never touches anything that's not hers, and is very lady-like when eating or accepting a treat.

When I'm working, she's content to lay at my feet. When my husband opened his truck's tail gate to load tools, she hopped right in to investigate. (Did I mention she's agile?) And in true golden fashion, she'll nudge my hand if she thinks I'm paying too much attention to one of our other dogs.

As previously noted, she does need time to warm up to some people but not others. So households where there are new people coming in and out may be stressful for her.

Ideally, Bella would love a doggie playmate and a family ready to include her in their activities as often as possible.
