Golden Beginnings Golden Retriever Rescue's
10th Annual Tree of Hope

Help GBGRR decorate our Christmas tree and
help save some Golden Retrievers too!

Looking for gift-giving ideas, or a reminder of the true meaning of Christmas? Golden Beginnings Golden Retriever Rescue invites you to participate in our "Tree of Hope" virtual Christmas tree.

Your donations will decorate the tree with lights or presents, and may be made in memory of, or in honor of, a person or a dog. Photos may be uploaded to accompany your message.

Not only will the funds raised help Golden Beginnings with the rescue and medical care of stray, ill or abandoned golden retrievers, but the Tree of Hope is guaranteed to fill your heart with the spirit of Christmas, as you return again and again to read the warm wishes and tributes that grow daily

We hope you find your visit informative as well as enjoyable. GBGRR is a non-profit organization, staffed solely by volunteers, devoted to providing rescue and necessary veterinary medical care for unwanted, neglected, abused, homeless and displaced Golden Retrievers in Houston, TX and the surrounding area. We strive to place our Goldens in adoptive homes where they will receive a lifetime of love.

GBGRR, a non-profit organization founded in 1999 is celebrating its 15th anniversary in 2014. In our first fifteen years, GBGRR has rescued more than 3,500 Golden Retrievers and received numerous awards and grants.  GBGRR received the Starfish Award from the Golden Retriever Club of America (GRCA) for our rescue efforts during hurricane Katrina, and in 2008, two of our rescued Goldens won G.R.A.C.E. (Golden Retrievers Achieving Community Excellence) Awards in two different categories at the GRCA Nationals in Providence, Rhode Island.

We hold a variety of fundraising, public awareness and educational events throughout the year. The highlight is our Reunion Picnic each Fall, where hundreds of rescued Goldens (and the humans who love them) meet to play, romp, swim, socialize and have lunch, and those dogs in their "Golden Years" proudly participate in the "Parade of Seniors". It's not to be missed! Whether you're interested in fostering, adopting, volunteering or just love golden retrievers, please click here to join our mailing list.

The 2016 Golden Beginnings Golden Retriever Rescue calendar is now available online.
