Golden Beginnings Success Stories
2012 | 2011 | 2010 | 2009 | 2008 2011 - Last Update: Dec 6, 2011 Falcon I believe the last time I wrote you, we were living in California. I have finally returned home to the Pacific Northwest and thought about sending another photo of Falcon. I adopted Falcon from you in 2002 when I lived in Houston. He is without question one of the sweetest dogs I have ever met. He's aging although has generally been in excellent health. At any rate, if you have a place where you can post his success story I would be very flattered if you would please post his photo. I hope your holiday season finds you well! Brian Fordham
Molly Molly, our “special angel” from Golden Beginnings This story is not about Murphy, our Labrador Retriever & family dog of 11 ½ years, yet if he had not “crossed over the Rainbow Bridge,” we would not have been in a position to bring “little” Molly into our lives. We had recently lost our Labrador Retriever, Murphy, in September and our lives did not feel right without a dog. We have to believe that Murphy “stepped aside” to allow us to get to know Ms. Molly. Molly came into our lives on November 7th, 2009 with the help of Golden Beginnings. Truly, it was “love at first sight.” As each one of us met her for the first time, we knew that she was meant to be a part of “our family.” She is such a sweetie. She has been a pure delight since that first day. She is lovable, kind, and a source of joy to all of those around her. She just loves to be “petted” and to be with “her people.” She enjoys playing ball. Give her a ball, large or small, and she is very content. Molly looks forward to her walks everyday. If the weather is cold or wet, she is just as happy to take a ride in the car. Molly is very well behaved; we could not have trained her better ourselves. There is no doubt the Lord greatly blessed us with another “doggy angel.” She has been a blessing to each of us in our family in her own way. It almost seems as if she has been with us forever. All of us are truly blessed to have her in our family. Our family anticipates many wonderful years together with Molly. Molly now has the opportunity to enrich the lives of many Senior Citizens. Molly visits a nursing/rehab center in Austin, TX, at least once a week. How they love her. One month the residents wrote in their own monthly newsletter the impact Molly has made in their lives. Thank you Golden Beginnings for this precious dog and the impact she has made in our lives and the lives of others. We appreciate all those who cared for her before she came to stay with our family. We will continue to support Golden Beginnings and encourage others to adopt other Goldens like Molly in order to give them a second “golden beginning.” We shall continue to prayerfully remember the ministry of Golden Beginnings in the days ahead. Thank you
